People search for a “YAKAP-accredited pharmacy” every day. It is worth clearing up what that actually means, because the wording trips almost everyone up.
Short answer: YAKAP accredits clinics. Medicines are dispensed by GAMOT-accredited facilities. So when people look for a “YAKAP pharmacy”, what they need is a GAMOT-accredited facility serving YAKAP members — which is what TrueMed is.
YAKAP — PhilHealth’s Yaman ng Kalusugan Program — launched in July 2025. It marks a shift from reactive hospitalisation coverage toward proactive primary care: every PhilHealth member is enrolled at an accredited YAKAP Clinic that monitors health, prescribes treatment, and arranges medicines before illness escalates.
GAMOT stands for Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment. It is YAKAP’s medicine benefit — 75 essential medicines covering the country’s highest-burden chronic and acute conditions, dispensed through accredited GAMOT facilities.
So the two are not alternatives. GAMOT sits inside YAKAP: YAKAP is the programme, GAMOT is the part of it that covers your medicines.
TrueMed is an FDA-accredited, PhilHealth GAMOT-accredited pharmacy. We are the GAMOT-accredited fulfilment partner for YAKAP clinics — supplying medicines, managing inventory, and handling PhilHealth documentation so the clinic can focus on care.
If your YAKAP clinic has issued your prescription, TrueMed is where the medicines can be fulfilled.

PhilHealth publishes the programme at philhealth.gov.ph/yakap. That page lists four YAKAP benefit categories — Primary Care Checkup, Laboratory, Gamot List, and Cancer Screening Test — and it distinguishes YAKAP Clinic Providers from GAMOT Providers as separate accreditation pathways, which is the distinction this page explains.
For anything about your own eligibility, enrolment, or account — go to PhilHealth directly. TrueMed cannot access your PhilHealth account or process member logins. We are a private GAMOT-accredited pharmacy, not PhilHealth.
