How to Claim Your ₱20,000 PhilHealth Medicine Benefit — Step by Step (2026)

If you are an employed PhilHealth member, you are entitled to up to ₱20,000 worth of covered outpatient medicines per year under the YAKAP program — and most members never claim a single peso of it. Here is how the process works from start to finish.

Step 1: Confirm you are an active PhilHealth member

The benefit applies to eligible PhilHealth members. If contributions are being deducted from your salary, you are very likely covered. Bring or note your PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN).

Step 2: See your doctor and get a valid prescription
